Job Summary:  In alignment with the Resort’s vision, mission, & organizational values, and under the direction of the VP of Sales & Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving Camelback Resort growth and ensuring a great guest experience by delivering innovative experiences and products/marketing communications based upon financial data, guest insights and industry trends.


Specific Functions:

1.     Develop and execute annual marketing plans for CBK Lodge, Restaurants and H2OBX waterpark (in NC) by managing an annual budget to deliver incremental NOI.

2.  Manage direct report(s), lead cross-functional teams, support peers and help manage agency partners.

3.     Ensure CBK Lodge staff are trained and that guests are well informed of all Resort events to maximize cross-sell opportunities; including but not limited to marketing on-property (hotel) and off (mountain).

4.     Direct the creative development for various platforms including: social, web, brochure, radio, advertising etc., providing input and art direction on aesthetics and writing copy

5.     Manage and develop direct report(s) who will also develop and execute annual marketing plans (specifically leading restaurants)

6.     Lead cross-functional team (Web, SEO, Social, PR, Digital, Creative, CRM) to execute business initiatives with consistent and compelling messages, across multiple platforms

7.     Help manage external agencies (Media, PR, Digital)

8.     Analyze and leverage data including: financial, competitor, industry trends and guest CRM

9.     Evaluate and ensure quality media visits, to maximize PR value and to gain awards

10.   Ensure all platforms are current and consistent (websites, local listings, FB, IG, Yelp, Trip Advisor etc.) and all online consumer inquiries are responded to in a timely and thoughtful manor

11.   Support HR recruiting efforts to avoid labor gaps and activity closures

12.   Update existing/simple design templates (wedding board, menus, signs etc.) and on-property execution


Job Qualifications:

·         4 yr. college degree in Marketing/Brand management preferred

·         6+ years of Marketing or Brand management experience

·         2+ years of team leadership experience

·         Hotel or restaurant marketing experience preferred

·         Naturally curious, creative and analytical

·         Comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

·         Servant leader, self-starting and maximizes time

·         Works well in a collaborative, ‘one team’ environment

·         Strong communications skills (written and verbal)

·         Fluent in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·         Adobe design (in design) software knowledge or willingness to learn

·         Prior use of CMS platforms preferred but not required

·         Passionate about the hospitality industry

·         Possess a current driver’s license

Generally accountable for:

·      Complying with all Company and departmental dress code and safety standards

·     Adhering to the Customer Service Standards of Camelback Resort as well as all Company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook

·      Adhering to daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal Service Guidelines and Checklists

·      Communicating effectively with all members of the Camelback Resort team

·      Actively supporting all Company initiatives


Work Conditions and Schedule:

·      Exposure to extreme temperatures and weather should be expected as work will, on occasion, occur outdoors

·      Weekend and holiday availability is required as well as flexibility with work schedule

·      The schedule may require a work week schedule over 40 hours per week, including nights
